Muso’s Guide loving some Galoshins. Fa doesnae?
"Gourock’s Galoshins manage 11 tracks between these two releases. Stylistically the trio have a sound that’s, er, rather varied to say the least. Dragging in elements of garage rock (‘The 4th Chord’), math rock (‘B2’), jazz freakout & psychedelia (‘Chank’, the instrumental ‘B15’) as well as the bits of plain old indie and odd electronic squelch or two that tear through the two releases like so much shrapnel. There’s a lineage stretching back through such acts as Clinic and Devo here."
