The Douglas Firs have been busying themselves in the studio of late pining and whining over their second masterful opus, the follow up to last year’s stellar, Happy as a Windless Flag.
However, while the new record is still burning on a slow simmer, the band have seen fit to treat us to new EP entitled Season’s Greetings albeit under the mysterious moniker, I Like Ceareal, My Friend. The EP includes three new compositions, ‘All Souls’ Day’, ‘All Saints’ Day’ and ‘Season’s Greetings’ available for FREE from HERE.
The band are also preparing to return to the stage this month with a very special show at the old St. Paul’s Church in their base of Edinburgh on Friday 24th February with the promise of a lovely cheap bar, food, festivities and ofcourse good fucking music courtesy of themselves, Michael Anguish and the Self-Medicating Sons of Loss (http://soundcloud.com/foxfaceforever) , and iliop (http://www.myspace.com/iliop).
ALL THIS FOR ONLY £4 - a pound per band, and one for the soundman!
Facebook event page is here.
Hop to it people!
